Carl Porter visited friends near Burns City Sunday evening. Elza Lewis has purchased, the Gustav Bubenzer, property here. Miss Stella Lamb spent Sunday as the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Grant wv Crane. The farmers here are trying hard to get their corn in the cribs before the holidays. Miss Mae Lamb, who is working at Elnora, is spending the week as the guest of home folks. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Gee and sons Foster and True were Sunday guests of William T. Porter and family. , Misses Mae Lamb and Beatrice Crane were the guests of Mrs. Mar lin J. Hert at Mt. Springs last Sun day night. Elza Lewis went to wale Sunday to visit his son Maurice who is very ill. His sister, Mrs. Earl Sargent, is caring for the little one. M. C. Harp has bought the ten ement cottage on the Hilza Lewis farm and is re-building it on his own farm for future residence. The Rev. Skelton, of Burns City, filled his regular appointment here Sunday morning spending the day with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crane. The Rev. and Mrs. John Sipes drove through to Odon Monday to visit their son, Noble Sipes, who has been very low with influenza. Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Sargent,and little sons, Dexter and Darrell, of near Burns City, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Gee Thanks giving day. Some of the soldier and sailor boys from this vicinity are expected to arrive home most any day now and friends and relatives are wait ing them anxiously.
