Hawks, pre sided... .Letters were read and dis cussed ‘in régard. to. the. work.of the society, one. ‘letter Was from a woman who “desired a small horse and wagon for a birthday present for her little boy, another was going to write a pa per on Deerfield and wanted material for the same. It was voted to send an exhibit to the Berkshire Society at North Adams’' this month,at their request.It was also voted to ‘invite Mrs. Charles Blaisdell of Chicopee, who has recently returned from a vis it to Japan, to give a tale on her impressions and knowledges that country at the next mieehine in Janu ary and to have an exhibition of Jap anese prints that have been kindly loaned for the occasion. At the close of the meeting the company were de lightfully entertained in viewing, the many beautiful photographs that were taken by the Allen sisters, during their visit in Efiigland and other places last spring.
