| The Ben Hood Killing—More About the Homicide that Recently Occurred in this County.Mnuroe special in Charlotte Observer: Mr. J. W. Lance, atraveling representalive ol V. 11. Robinson Company, of Charlotte, who was shot in t Inarm during an altercalion witti Ben Lewis Hood, a negro farmer, neir VVaxliaw last Monday, was brought to the Monroe Hospital yesterday evening lor treatment. I'lie wound is a serious one and there is a possibility that Mr. Lance may lose his arm.There are sever d versions ot this affray in which Hood was shot through the heart and instantly kille-l.
