rite Portuguese Americana of Hilo observed the anniversary of tin* Independence cf Portugal laat Monday in fitting style. At noon the national salute of guns was fired mid during the day the Hag of Portugal was Moating from numerous Mag staffs. Un both Sunday mid Monday numerous groups of Portuguese indulged in social festivities in honor of the day. Sunday a party went out to Antonc (lak 's place in Kaiupana Ke-IreshmentK were served and si**lt;clu*s tnade.
