Obituary.Departed this life on the mornin*: ol the 29th ul?., Mr. John W. Reed,(son of Mr.- and Mrs. Richard Seed,) in the 27th year of hie age.Those who remember Johnny a few years ago will remember him as a hale and hearty young man, with a fair prospect of a long and useful life before him. But a cold contrcted some tour year* ago last summer developed that insidious disease consumption, from which he was never able to recover. • In the spring of 1882 he J^ecivme convinced that his only hope was in a visit to the Pacific coast, and in company with his newly married wife he made the trip, but a year’s residence in that favored land only confirmed the opinion of his friends that it was only a question of lime, and a short time at that, when he would be called upon to cross the dark river and join the ever increasing throng on the further shore; consequently they returned, and he calmly and peacefully awaited the summons.He will be4 remembered b}* all who knew him as an honest, peaceful, upright citizen, such a one as is always a loss to any community when called hence.To his parents, brother and sisters the community extend their sympathy and condolence. But to tl^at noble, woman who less than two years ago plighted her faith to him in order that she might accompany him to the coast and care for him if care was needed, or rejoice with him if restored to health, the sympathy of the community will go out in an unusual degree, and many prayers will be uttered for her welfare as well as the welfare of the babe that opened its eyes to the light of this world so soon after the closing of those of its father.
