len elected to Mahaska councilTen new extension council members were elected during November at their respective township elections according to Don Arendt, Mahaska County extension director.New members on the extension council elected for a two year term starting Jan. 1, 1971 are: Dale Van Veldhuizen from Adams township; Elmer Kinsinger, Cedar Township, Hubert Parket, Jefferson Township, George Springer, Madison Township, Austin Osmund, Prairie Township, Marvin Benscoter, Scott Township; and Sam Boender, White Oak Township.tax levying body that meets each month to plan and guide the Extension Education program in Mahaska County.The council plans and approves the county budget for the operation of the Extension council.They also have program planning duties and work with standing committees such as the 4-H Committee in developing 4-H policy.One of a siTHIS WEEI
