Blizzardettes Defeat Bronte 61-25 MondayThe Winters High School girls* basketball team wrapped another victory Monday night, defeating the Bronte girls 61-25* This game was the sixth to be won by the Blizzardettes this year.The defense by Kay Byrd, La-vera Williams and Ruth Ann Spill was the key to holding Bronte to only 8 points during the first half.Leading scorer for the night was Rita Walker with 19 points, followed by Dorretha King with 15 points.Players and individual points for the ^ -Spv . .Await, 10; Diann Roper; Jean Seals, 1; Nancy Spill, 6.The girls* B team won from Bronte 32-15, with Judy Smith and Carolyn Rice tying for the high score spot with 11 points each. Ginger Gardner and Marcene Pritchard and Gretta Riddle were outstanding on defense.Winters* eight grade girls defeated Bronte 27-2 for their third win of the season. High for the Night was Deanna Kozelsky with 11 points, followed by Margaret Merrill with 10 points.The Winters girls will play Anson Friday night at Anson.
