Amateur Contest At State TheatreThe State Theatre - White House Popeye elub will hold its second Popoye amateur contest next Saturday, December 5th, at 1:15 p. m. sharp.The first amateur contest was such a rousing success that the club members 'voted to make the amateur contests a regular monthly feature of the club, occurring on the first Saturday in each month.Entries are now pour ing in from the talented youths of Ultiah for Saturday’s contest.The White House is again offering a fine group of prizes, among which is another big red scooter and a pipin of a toy machine gun that rattles and shoots sparks like the real “McCoy.”So kids, enter your name In the contest now, the more the merrier, everyone participating will receive a prize. An entrant may sing, dance recite, play and instrument, or do anything else he likes, if you need musical accompaniment notify manager Jack Halvorsen at once.
