On the morning of November 24th Mr. Peter VanderSluis passed away.For some days past he was not in the best of health, and on Sunday morning, the day before his death, he suddenly became violently ill with a ruptured appendix from which he did notrecover. . ;V* • * . •••*. • •• • • #Mr. VanderSluis was born in thevicinity of Pella, Iowa, nearly fifty-two years ago. He came to Sioux County while still a,-boy and lived for some time in Orange City but later moved to the farm a tew miles east of town where he was. living at the; ame of his. death. The only near Relatives he leaves behind 4s/ his mothabout seventeen years ;ago. and abouteight years ago -his'only brother died.His body was: inteixed last Wednesday afternoon in the cemetry east of town in the family ' lot. where hisfather was also buried/ In spite ofthe cold and the storm a large uumb-er of friends and relatives had gathered to attend his funeral which was held in the First Reformed Church, the pastor of the church, ?tev.
