SON OF MR. AND MRS. FRED WISSING, DEAD AT PO LAND, IND.” Wendell Wissing, the one-year-old, Son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wissing, of south Tompkina street, is dead at the home of Mrs. Wissing’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. George Lewis, at Po land, Ind. The child passed away last night and word’ of the death reached here this morning. Three weeks ago Mrs. Wissing and her two children went to the home of her parents for a visit. The baby l contracted the mumps and complica tions that‘arose led to its death. Mr. Wissing, who is employed ‘at the George Ensminger grocery, received word Thursday morning that the babe was seriously I], and he left here immediately for Poland. The bereaved parents will have the sym pathy of their many friends in this city and, county in the loss of their darling. The surviving child is a boy about three years old. They will come here tomorrow afternoon, bringing the bady,and it ‘will be taken to their home on south. ‘Tompkins street.. The tunsrai are rangements will be announced by Stewart Fix, ‘ TWO SHELBYVILLE YOUNG MEN HELD AT LAWRENCEBURG Ithamer Spurlin and Merle C. Dickey in Jail on Default of $1,000 Bond. According to a dispatch from Law renceburg, Ind., Ithamer Spurlin, 24, and Merle C. Dickey, 21, both of this city, are held in the county jail at that place in default of a $1,000 bond, when they entered a plea of guilty to a charge of burglary and larceny. They were arrested by De tective SXlem, of the Cleveland, Cin cinnati, Chicago St. Louis Railway Company. It is alleged the young men opened the rear window of the Batesville depot and carried away two cases of whiskey. They entered a plea of guilty be fore Mayor Gibson, of Lawrenceburg, and were bound over to circuit court. The young men are well known in this city and are of respected fami lies.
