District Winners Announced In De Smet DE SMET, Dec. %—Superior rat ings at the district declamatory contest, held in De Smet Monday evening were given to Maynard An derson, Volga, oratory; Donna Marie Hodges, Erwin, poetry; Phyllis Sherwood, D. Smet, dramatics, and Alice Vandervelde, Lake Preston, humorous. The contest was won by Lake Preston with nine points to their credit. Volga and Erwin were sec ond with eght points each. Other schools participating were Oldham and De Smet.
