Although Bonds Shot at Close Range and Wounds Are Serious, He May Recover—An Eye Destroyed By Bullet-Wounded Man Recently Surrendered To Officers. (By Associated Press). BELTON, Dec. 3.—Monroe Fisher early Friday ad mitted $2,500 bail on formal charges of assault to mur der Albert W. Bonds, who is under indictment for slaying Wiley Fisher, father of Monroe. Bonds was struck yes terday by major portion of load of buck-shot fired at close range but physicians believe he will recover. At tack occurred while Bonds was sitting in his car in the business district when another car came along the side and fired. Bonds’ right eye was destroyed and a number of shots in head and chest. Fisher gave self up at Tem ple, returned home with sheriff and made bond. Bonds recently surrendered after authorities had searched for him a long time in connection with shooting of Wiley Fisher.
