NOVEMBER REPORT SHOWS OVER SEVEN HUNDRED CASES DISPOSED OF Activities of the police department and corporation court for the month of November are reflected in the report made by Corporation Judge E. A. Mc Kinnon to City Manager Jeff Bartlett, showing a total of $4,992.75 collected in fines representing 714 cases disposed of. Of the total number of cases disposed of violation of traffic ordinances heads the list with 875 arrests and $2,368.50 collected in fines. Intoxication came next with 136 arrests and $1,586.75 fines; disturbing the peace with 27 cases and vagrancy with 23 charges brought a total of $575 in penalties. Seven charges of assault and a like number for affray netted $195. Tres passing with seven cases totaled $72 while other offenses numbered 41 with fines aggregating $218.50. The report furnished the city manager does not include the many cases of traffic violation which were leniently handled by Judge McKinnon. The judge in many instances, where the violations were for the first offense let the defen dant off with a mere explanation and warning to observe the requirements. The corporation judges kept at his port et ell heures of the day since the city has grown to such phenomenal pro portions. Heretofore it har required only a few heures each morning to dispote of the cares. (By The Associated Press) BELTON, Dec. 3.—Former Sheriff Albert Bonds shot and dangerously wounded here last night just after he arrived in the downtown section to testify in a case on trial in the district court, was reported this morning to have a chance for recovery although his con dition is critical. Munroe Fisher, 23 yes old, son of Police Chief Wiley Fisher, of Temple, for whose death Bonds is under $10,000 bail, was arrested early this morning in connection with the attack on Bonds and was placed under $2,500 bond on an assault to murder charge. Wiley Fisher was shot here on August 20 as the culmina tion of bitter political differ ences between him and Bonds and the latter disappeared from the county to return Sun day, November 14, in custody of Ranger Captain Frank Hamer and two other rangers. The shooting occurred here last night about 9 o'clock just after Bond driven up in front of the Hughe block away from drug store, less than a the scene where Fisher was ela last summer.
