Resumes Job Driving Grocer’s Wagon From Which Police Took Her. Cleveland, Dec. 3.—Lillian Meier, 25 years old, who a month ago was ar rested after working for two years as an ice wagon driver and livery stable hustler, all the time pretending to be a man, 18 back again among the horses. She could not endure cor sets and skirts, cooking and sewing, she told her mother a week ago. “I'd rather be in jail all my life than wear these corsets and skirts,” she said “It was driving her crazy,” said Gottlieb Meier, her stepfather, “so we gave her men’s clothes, and shes driving a grocery wagon again. She loves horses and men’s work and won't be happy at home. It is not fair to arrest her for wearing men's clothes. She comes here with cal loused hands, but laughs when we mention it. She says it’s better than cooking and sewing and being cramp ed in women's clothes. We can't un derstand her, but we know she craves x Man's life and association with horses.”
