The costs of tlie different course will be:Mechanical drawing, $4; business (English), $3; arithmetic, $3; bookkeeping, $3; penmanship, $2; shorthand, $5; German, $3; typewriting, $5. Committees will be appointed to have charge of the different departments, and it is hoped by this means to raise the standard of the association members.The directors decided to hold the formal opening of the new gymnasium on January 1, 1003. and talked of the pro-gram to be carried out. Franklin W. Ganse, a prominent Chicago lawyer and Y. M. C. A. worker, will deliver one address at the opening, and either Senator Beveridge, President Ingalls of the Big Four or President Carpenter of the C. E. I. will deliver the other. It was found impossible 1o hold the opening in December, as had been expected.-The rental committee reported that Dahlen Einecke had leased the room at No. 30 South Seventh for one year. Dahlen Einecke are moving in today. The committee also reported on thedisposition of the third floor, which hasbeen rented to the G. A. B. for threeyears. The bath rooms will be torn out • * •and extensive improvements made m the hall. The ladies of the First M. E. church were given permission to hold a fair and bazaar in the second floor of the building the week of December 15.Bids were ordered received for papering the halls and parlors of the new Y. M. C.
