Osborn.On motion of Mr. Mulford, 'Resolved, That fve now proceed to* vote byballot for permanent chairman of this Board, and that the chairman appoint two tellers.The chairman appointed Messrs. Croak andYan Yalkenbnrgh as tellers.The first ballot being informal, the result was as follows, viz.; B. P. Barkley, 8 ; Hannon Yan Woert, 2 ; Albert Barker, 2; Blank, 1,A formal ballot was then taken, with the following result, viz.: B. P. Barkley, 9 ; Albert Barker, 3 ; Blank, 1.On motion of Mr. Barker,Resolved, That B. P. Barkley he and he ishereby declared, unanimously elected chairmanof this Board.On motion of Mr. Wickes,Resolved, That we now proceed to vote by ballot for clerk of this Board.On motion of Mr. Mulford,Resolved, That James Stevens bo declared-unanimously elected derk of this Board. On motion of Mr. Van Woert,Resolved, That we now adjourn until November Xlth, 1880, at 10 o’clock A.2LThursday, November 11 th, 1880. Board met pursuant to adjournment. Barker,Resolved, That the rules of order adopted bythe- Board of Supervisors of 1879 be and they are hereby adopted as the xuleB of order for thegovernment of this Board t1st. Upon the appearance of a quorum, the chairman having taken the chair and the member# having been called to order, the minutes of the preceding day must be read, to the end that any mistakes therein may.be corrected by the Board. 2d. Ordtr of Business.—Mtei the minutes areread and approved, the order of business shall boai follows;1. The presentation of petitions.2. Reports of Btanding committees.3. Reports of select committees.4. Introduction of xeEolutions, notices and motions.5. Unfinished business.6.
