NOR R IE-—BARBERA wedding of interest to many here was solemnized at Chalmer s United Church, Vancouver, B.C., November 21st, at 3 p.m., when Helen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Barber, Swift Current, Sask., became the bride of Sgt. VV. R. Norrie, son of Mrs. Norrie and the late Mr. J. B. Norrie of Medicine Hat. Rev. Gordon Melvin officiated.The bride was given in marriage by her twin brothers, L/AC.’s John and Charles Barber, She wore a dress of powder blue with brown velvet accessories and carried Sweetheartruses, white chrysanthemums and •leather. Mrs. R. McColm (ne9 Norah Wallace) was matron of honor, wearing dusky pink with black accessories, she* carried white chrysanthemums.Sgt. Les Wibberiey of Medicine Hat was best man and the ushers were L/AC. A. N. Douglas and Pte.K. Bowcott.During the signing of the register, Mr. Harvey Hodgins sang “Throughthe Years,”The reception was held at the bride’s apartment, when Misses Verna Bell and Alice Muryn assisted with receiving the guests.After a short trip to the island, Sgt. and Mrs. W. R. Norrie will reside at 1335 W. 13th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C.The bride is a graduate of the 1937 class of the Medicine Hat General Hospital and has been employed for the past two years at the Vancouver General Hospital.
