Leonard Shebetka-Su Friday Following OperationLEONARD SHERETKAThe mystery of life and death came home very keenly to friends and relatives of Leonard Shebetka, when word came Friday of his untimely death. No matter how much one is expecting: the visit of death, we are never quite prepared for It, and the shock is almost more than one can bear, especially for those closest to him, Leonard was a young man of splen did characted, quiet and unassuming and deeply devoted to his mother and father. We cannot understand why one so well liked and who had so much to live for should be taken, but it is not for us to judge. Surely God knows ‘best. To know Leonard, was to love him and this was certainly evidenced by the lovely flowers sent to the residence, by the many who called to express their sympathy, and by the large numbers who attended the funeral service.ObituaryLeonard Shebetka, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Shebetka, of Fairfax, Iowa, was born July 10, 1913 andpassed away at the Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids Friday afternoon, November 2G, 1937.Leonard attended the Cloud school in Monroe township, finishing the seventh grade.
