A quiet wedding took place on Thursday at the Manse, when Miss Kate Shepunski became the wife of Peter Demetruk, both of Kirkness, Manitoba, Rev. J. Knox Clark per forming the ceremony. Best wishes and congratulations were extended by the intimate friends present. The anniversary concert and lecture in the church last week was well at tended and enjoyed by all who attend ed. Mr. Waite will be welcomed should he visit us again. Messrs. Lees and Rooke, of Winnipeg, delighted the audience with their songs. A Rummage Sale under the auspices of the Ladies Aid will be held in Lock port Hall on Saturday Dec. 4th, at 16:30 in the morning. In the afternoon at the same place at 3 o'clock, a sale of new articles and home cooking will be held and tea served both afternoon and evening. The Sunday school scholars are pre paring a programme for the Xinas tree entertainment to be held in the church on Thursday evening, Dec. 23rd Mr. Alfred Franks is nursing his arm in a sling, owing to a broken wrist sustained from a fall on the slippery sidewalk in Winnipeg.
