GALENA MAN MEETS DtATHMr. Thomas A. Harris Passes Away at That Place on Tuesday.The many Dubuque friends of Mr. I Thomas A. Harris, a well known rest.1 dent of Galena, will be grieved to learn of his sudden death, which occurred at that place on Tuesday night. The Galena Gazette says:The many friends of Mr. Thomas A. Harris of Dewey avenue were shocked to learn of his death which occurred very suddenly about ten-thirty o’clock last night. Mr. Harris had the appearance of a person who was in the full enjoyment of robust health. He was down town last evening after supper and also worked about his residence for a short time. During the night he became suddenly sick and died almost before the family could realize that he was ill.Mr. Harris would have been fifty-seven years of age had he lived until the thirteenth of the present month. He was a son of William Harris, and was born in Galena in a residence on Dewey avenue in the block adjoining that in which the Harris home is situated. By trade he was a painter and paper hanger. He is survived by his wife, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Rogers of White Oak. and five children, Albert. William. Guy, Arnold and Bessie. He leaves also a sister, Mrs. Alice Murphy, of Es-teline, S. D.t a brother, Stephen, of Rockford, and a brother, James, of White Oak. WIs.Mr. Harris was a quiet, home-loving citizen and his efforts were always for the welfare of his family. His demise is a sad bereavement to them. The decedent has been n member of the Odd Fellows since March 1902.i Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at two o’clock from the house.
