appropriate union.lt; 'IIAM nKHI/A J S -ItUN ION.One of the happiest unions ever solemnized in our community occurred at thepleasant home ef Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Rttnion, of Meadow township, at noon Thanksgiving day, when .Mr. Clarence W. Chamberlain led Miss Hattie Mae Kunion to the marriage altar. The ceremony which united “for better, for worse” the lives of these worthy young people was pronounced by Kev. A. A. Wilcox, pastor of the Fostoria M. E. church, assisted by Kev. J. M. Hoffman, of the Christian church of Spencer. About fifty guests, relatives and friends of the bride and groom, witnessed the ceremony. Miss Stella Chamberlain, sister of the groom was bridesmaid and Mr. Con. Kunion, of Chicago, a brother of the bride, was groomsman. The bride wore a charming gown of cream si Ik and earned white roses; the bridesmaid wore a beautiful gown of pale green henrieUa, trimmed with cream chiffon and carried pink roses. The groom and best man each wore the conventional black suit, with a chrysanthemum at the lapels. After the ceremony and congratulations a bountiful weddiug feast was served, which was freely partaken of by the guests, while socialbility and good cheer everywhere prevailed. The newly wedded pair took the evening train for the east, and will spend two or three weeks visiting the bride's relatives, when they will return and begin housekeeping, the groom having completed u new residence a short time previous to his marriage. The bride, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 1.. C. Kunion. of Meadow township, who a couple, of years ago came from Stillman, Valley, 111., and bought the Varney farm: she is beautiful, intelligent, cultured and good. The groom has spent his life in Clay county; lie is a young man of sterling worth, who possesses the good will, esteem and confidence of all who know him. The union is indeed a happy one.
