Isaac Anderson, a young man of 18 or 20 years of age, and a grandson of Isaac Anderson living in this township, accidentally shot himself last Monday. He was- carrying his gun in a manner peculiar to thoughtless persons and as he entered the house raised it by the muzzle. It caught his boot-strap, and as he looked down the gun went off and lodged the contents about his head—a shot taking effect in his eye so that, as Dr. Rawlings informs us, he will likely lose the use of it. A clear case of carelessness that should be a warning to others.
