R. demand a switch where said road crosses the Napoleon tad, in order to secure the freight and accommodate passengers from the north-eastern part of Decatur, and south eastern part of Rush couties. In as much also as the advantage o! the R. R. arising from the certainty of a 6witch at that point was the prime argument, used by the agents of said road to secu'e the right of way through Hugh's and McCoy’s lands, upon the strength of which promises McCoy has erected Stock scales and Hughs a Ware-ho use. Considering also the (act that the neighborhood generously offer to do all the necessary labor io constructing of mid twitch, we therefore:I at. Resolved, That as Joseph 6. Monfort is the only Director on the Rest end of the road, who has not already solicited the Superinten dent to locate said Switch, and is known to oppose the same, we have good reason to su6-[ e;t him of being actuated by selfish motive*; of eudeavoting to force trade from its natural point on the R. R.; there by obliging the citizens of a large section of country, to drive their stock and liaul their produce an unnec-e?‘ary distance over bad roads.5th.
