Carter, of Meade Street, were fishing on the Beardy when they sighted the object in the sky travelling in an casiery dlrect'on.Mr Carter spotted It first and observed Its flight along the sky for about 10 seconds until itveered towards the coast in a straight line at a high rate of speed.They could not estimate the speed it was travelling or how high* it was in the air but they say it travelled out of sight within a few seconds.According to Mr. Pennington, the most prominent feature of the object was a set of two green lights, which glowed vividly as the object hurtled through theHe could not see any otherpart distinctly of the object.At the speed at which tt was travelling both men estimated ! that It would take a very short | time to reach coastal areas.The same night a girl resident of West Glen Inncs claimed that she saw a shiny object circle the eastern portion of the town and then disappear.On Wednesday n'ght three coastal residents reported that they saw a Hying saucer.SIGHTED AT BALD NOBbMiss McLucas, postmistress ofBald Nob. said this morning that she also saw a strange object In the sky at about 7 o’clock on Wednesday evening.Mlsi McLucas said the object was oval in shape, with a long tail.It was travelling at a terrific speed and flashed out of sight within n few seconds.I have seen meteors before, but this was nothing like a meteor. she said.••When I saw it* it was travelling from east to west, and would be about 6000 or 6000 feet up. she added.Miss McLUcas sad the object appeared to be about six to eight feet in length.
