Williams has been promoted from second to first lieutenant.The 21-year-old flyer is a pilot of a B-17 Flying fortress. Lt. Williams was a student at Graceland College Iowa, before entering the Army. Previous to that he had attended the Moss Point high school. He is son of-f-Mr. and Mrs. Chiton Williams ol Eseatawpa.He flies with the 100th Bombardment Group, part of the Eighth Army Air Force’s Third Bombardment Division.Cpl. Willard De Forrest has completed an orientation course at an Air Service Command station somewhere in England.According to an announcement from the United States Strategic Air Forces headquarters, this course is designed to bridge the gap between training in the States and combat soldiering against the enemy in Germany.Cpl.
