JAMES V. HOYDEES IN CEEAXi RAPIDS......(by C. J. Monahan) .James V. Hoy, 38 son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Hoy passed away in the Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids on Monday, Nov, 21st, after an illness of several months duration. James was employed at Chicago for some time and when he became ill he returned to edar Rapids.The deceased spent his boyhood days at Holbrook, and the family resided on the M. A. Condom farm several years. His funeral was held at the Immaculate Conception church in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday morning, Nov. 23 and interment was in Mi Calvary cemetery in Cedar Rapids.The deceased leaves three sisters and two brothers to mourn his desmise and their names are as follows: Mrs. Frank Walsh, Mrs.Harold Hedges, and Miss Catherine Hoy, of Chicago. Wm. Hoy, Fort Dodge, and Frank Hoy Cedar Rapids.Those from Holbrook attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hoy, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Welsh, Mrs. J. C. Donohoe, Wm Hoy, Mayme and John Welsh.
