Carita Doggett Corse published an article on the sources of Florida history in the Quarterly of the Florida Historical Society for July, 1927, and has two other such papers in preparation. The article already in print contains excerpts from a correspondence between Gov. Tonyn of East Florida and the British government in 1784, anent the distress of the English colonists in his territory. She lias given to the library of the Society copies of many other papers from the Public Record Office in London dealing with the early history of Florida. They include transcripts of the documents from the Office which she used in her book on “Dr, Andrew Turnbull and the New Smyrna Colony” and a collection of transcripts from the same source relating to the colonization project of Lord Rolle on the upper St. John’s river.Carita has now four children-—twinsons, five years old, a third son, and a daughter, Carita Arm, a year old.
