Pryor man gets prison termGREAT FALLS (AF) -District Court Judge William Coder handed down two concurrent 6Va-year prison sentences to George Cain, 32, Pryor, for his part in last October's attempted robbery at the residence of Zollie Kelman.Cain pleaded guilty last week to charges of felony robbery and aggravated assault at the residence in Great Falls. Monday’s sentence went against a recommendation from the state Board of Pardons for a deferred sentence.Coder explained it this way to Cain: You had your one shot when you received a deferred sentence last year on a conviction of burglary. Then you went out and committedthis crime while under thatdeferred sentence.”The judge said Cain would be credited for the 10 months spent in the Cascade County Jail since his arrest inside Kelman’s residence Oct.. 24.
