J —OWJC teaches clothes makingDAILY NEWS BUREAUNICEVILLE—Making your own clothes is profitable as a profession, for style, or just for savin# money. These are thoughts expressed by Okaloos-a-Walton Junior College officials about the newly instituted on-campus courses in clothing construction.The course Is available, both as a college credit course, (3 hours) for qualified students, and as a vocational non-credit offering for those who Just want to learn, according to Dr. M. C. Ballenger, Dean of instruc tional programs.Scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.: and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 3:30 p.m., a prospective student has a choice of time.For the mother of small children, Okaloosa Walton Junior College provides an approved day child care center on campus, for a very nominal fee. Now, the young mother may bring her tots to college.This type of scheduling allows the OWJC concept of someth-ing-for-every body.Registrations for the course will be accepted through Sept. 2. Late registration may also be allowed in unusual cases. Cost for credit comrse lab fee is $5.
