Saturday and Sunday Lily Dale Assembly, now known as “The New City of Light” will close its 77th session on Sept. 2. A full, well - planned program of lectures, healing services, seances and other activities of interest to followers of the Spiritualist doc trine began June 30 with a philo sophy lecture by Dr. John 4H. Manager Forest Temple on the Assembly grounds. The season's official closing activity will be the report of officers for the 1956 sea son Sunday, at the auditorium. The officers are: Louis $8, Wes tburgh, president; Robert J. Mac donald, vice - president Joseph S. Bias, treasurer May B. Hurd, sec retary; and directors William A. Johnson, Edith Griffiths, and Fred English. Persons from all walks of life and all parts of the country have visited the Assembly this past sea son and many noted mediums in cluding Billy Turner, Cassadaga resident, have taken an active part in activities. Celebrities other than spiritualists have also visited Lily Dale. Mae West, of movie and night - club fame was one. Holloway, at the auditorium, message minister, Edith Sandy Wendling; 4:30, Philo sophy class, William Eliott Ham mond, at Forest temple; 6:30, message service, Gertrude Rowe, chairman, at Leolyn woods; 7:45, ‘Thought exchange, William E. ‘Hammond, chairman, at Assemb ly hall; 9, Absent healing service, at Healing sanctuary and the weekly dance at the auditorium, Sunday, Sept. 29:30 a.m., Phil osophy class, Dr. Gilbert N. Hol loway, at Forest temple; 10:30, an address by Arthur Myers, at the auditorium, message minister, Hel ene Gerling; 11:30, Hour of ,medi tation at Healing sanctuary; 1 p.m., Message service, Myrtle De boe, chairman, at Leolyn woods and Philosophy — class, Pundit.
