The Business and Professional Women's Club purchased tin* material for the concrete tables, with tile late Mrs, Jessie Graham voluntarily becoming financially responsible for half of them.'The highway department cleared the land, taking out the undergrowth and culling several trees. Seven states were represented, Oklahoma, 'Texas, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Indiana and Louisiana. A side note, well worthy of mention, was that with one exception, they picked up and disposed of their debris.Hawthorne Bark sits high above both I In* city and t ho highway. This permits a restful view of the wooded hills beyond the city, and ■ although near the highway for convenience of tourists, its elevation tends lo remove the spot from the busyness and noise of the travel lanes. In response lo questions concerning the lack of water there, it seems that such is a state requirement of Hoadside Parks. A permanent water supply encourages over night camping, with its attendant problems of debris and garbage disposial. Such is not the purpose of a roadside park.SEND FLOWERSI Neosho Floral Co.
