Charleston, lit.—Ruth Bever, a 14- year-old Charleston girl, was found delinquent after a hearing in the Coles County Court today and was sentenced to the State Training School for Girls at Geneva. She asked for probation, Mrs. Florence Enyder, 37, and Delbert McCarty, 67, of Charleston, arrested a few days ago on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of Mrs. Snyder's son, pleaded not guilty when arraigned and asked for @ trial. They were returned to jail when they failed to give $1,000 bond each. Shelby Shores of Mattoon, charged with non-support of his wife, Ruth, and their 10-month-old child, was found guilty and was ordered to pay 7:50 a week for their support west of Toledo. He attended the Toledo High School and for the past two years has served in the military police of the U. S. Army. He recent ly received a medical discharge. The couple will reside in Mattoon. Mrs. Gardner was honored at a shower given Monday evening by Miss Dorothy Moran and Mrs. Beu lah Dunn at the home of Miss Mor an, 408 North Twenty-second street. The evening was spent in playing bridge, with prizes going to Miss Sara Barr and Mrs. Gardner. Mrs. Gardner received many use ful gifts for her home.
