]tOBITUARY.James M. Vaughn, son of Joseph ^ and Eleanor Vaughan, was born in ' Garrard county, Kentucky, October 25, 1831. He departed 'this life August 13, 1906, at the age of 74 years,9 months and 18 days.He was a constant sufferer for several years until death grasped the ^ key that unlocks the future and se; \ his spirit forever at liberty, and thusj permitted the longing soul to enter h .into that rest which awaits the chil-[dren of God. iI He was married three times and I only one child, a lonely daughter,! lt;• survives him. He was one of a fam-1 ily of 14 children of which number.-1 only three remain, the others having one by one been called to their everlasting reward.He was a soldier in the war of the Rebellion. Company C. until finally receiving an honorable discharge.He was converted when a young man while living «n Kentucky and after emigrating to this state united with the New Providence church. But soon after the organization of Union Valley he placed his membership) with that body where it remained until death. jIn his death the community looses ’ one of its respected citizens and the ; church a faithful member.
