A SAD DEATHMiss Bess Jean Barks, well known in this city where she had hosts of friends, riietr*last Saturday night at her home near the city of Sioux Balls, having been sick but a very few days, her death coming as a severe shock to all. The funeral services were held on Tuesday, the funeral being from the house, and the remains interred in the Sioux Falls cemetery. Rev, Mr. Anderson, pastor of thet;Huron Presbyterian church preached, the funeral sermon, dnd Dr. and Mrs, French, Rev. Mr. Notestein t^d“ C. R. Miller, from Huron, alsoattended the service*.Miss Parks graduated last Junefrom Huron college, standing at the:j head of her class, winning the prize for the,best papers presented. She' was a lovable young lady ahd endeared herself to all. She had been engaged to teach in the Pierre city ’Behoofs the coming year. . !■ • 1
