A Lecture by Mr. Wallcott.We understand that Mr. Wallcott, the eminent geologist from Washington, intends delivering a lecture in aid of the Orphanage at Villa Nova. He has been here sometime looking for specimens to illustrate the theory of his Cambrian Fawna. We are happy to state that in his quest he has been eminently successful, his search for fossils at Topsail Head, Manuels River and Poweracourt resulting in the discovery of some very fine specimens. A lecture from Mr. Wallcott, who is a ver^ scholarly gentleman, and one who has travelled a good deal, especially as it is probable that he will illustrate it with some fine views of his own taking, will be a rare intellectual treat. We hope to be in a position in a day or two to announce both the subject and date of the lecture.
