Many Subjects Are ScheduledIndiana University’s fall semester of classes in the Calumet region will start on Monday, September 17, it was announced today by H. W. Norman, director of the university center.Catalogs listing the increased offering are now being mailed to re-11 cent high school graduates, Indus-j tries, schools, and other groups interested in college credit courses or special courses for adults. Over sixty courses are scheduled to be offered in East Chicago, Hammond, and Gary, it was stated.Persons interested In obtaining the ne~ catalog may obtain a copy by calling at any of the public libraries in the region or by phoning the Indiana University Center at East Chicago 2311.In addition to its regular programs of college freshman, sophomore and advanced courses Indiama University is presenting many new Phases of study. Among some of the new courses added for this fall are: clinical psychology, abnormal psychology, speech for business executives. internal auditing, mathe- -matics for accountants, indentifica- I tion of organic compounds, insurance, interior decoration, postwar problems, history of the Far East, religious leaders ot mankind, logic, lecture on nature study, and social aspects of personality. The program is offered in daytime and evening , classes and is concluded in seven- | t$en weeks. The second semester is j scheduled to begin on February J 4 th. jRegistration In all classes may be j made at the Indiana University ] Building, 3901 Indianapolis Boule- j vard, East Chicago now between f the hours of .9 a. m. to 12 noon and j 1 to 4 p. m. The office will be open I throughout the day and each eve- j nlng for registration Beginning Sep-s tember 10, it was announced. I The Indiana University center j here had an enrollment of over 1,300 different students during the past school year who were taking college credit programs or were doing special study.
