OBIT!'A KV.Kathryn Josephine Miller, wife of Orla I. Shannon, was born near Bolc-kow, Andrew county. Mo., April 24, 1 STS. and departed this life at her family residence, four miles southwest of Stanberry. on Monday, August 22. .910. at 2:4.r p. in., aged 32 years. 3 months and 29 days. She was the daughter of Henry and Mary S. Miller. She was united in marriage to Orla I. Shannon, December 23. 1903, and to this union were born four children. who, together with the husband, survive her. They are Neva Irene, Mildred Pearl, and twin baby boys, Lawrence and Loren I).She was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal church under the pastorate of II McNamee at Boickow. in the winter of 1898. It is needless to state that she lived and died a happy and triumphant Christian life She was of that sweet even temper that made her most lovable to ail who knew her. She was all that any man could require as a wife and mother. Her late illness was of brief duration. In the good providence of God the twin oabh s came to gladden and blessthe horn*. But alas. like many a precious gift they came at the cost of her precious life. Vet this was to her liking, If by either life or death she could bless the home, the world. No word of complaint fell from her lips. Realizing that the end was near, she called »ho husband and said, take good care of the children, and then said, let me alone with Jesus. Her life and death were beautiful. Heaven Is the richer and the earth the poorer for her transitionThe iutural services were conducted by her old pastor and friend, Rev. H. McNamee of St. Joseph, assisted by the pastor at Boickow, Rev. T R. Hollingsworth, in the presence of a large compuny of relatives and friends, at Boickow. Wednesday, at 11 a. m., August 24. The remains were laid to rest in the Boickow cemetery The broken hearted husband and the orphan children and all the family of the deceased have the sympathy of the entire community. We laid her to rest knowing that we shall meet ugaiu in the morning of the fair eternal day. Meanwhile good bye. God bless thy memory. H. M'NAMEE.
