On Wednesday morning it was discovered that in thecourse of the night the yacht America had touched the ground, and canted away about twenty feet of her false keel. This accident was of go much importance that immediate attention wag deemed necessary, and she sailed for Portsmouth harbour, there to have her defects made good.
