SAVANNAH, Avgust 30. E are informed, that on the 26th of last month, 13 vessels lying in Reseau Road at Dominica were drove afore in a hard gale of wnd, and, with their cargoes, were entirely lost. Considerable damage it is also said was done to the shipping at Guadalupe. Several vessels in St. Euflatia Road drove from their anchors and put to sea, but some of them returned, and the rest got safe to some of the other islands. Arthur Forrest, Esg. Commander in chief of his Majesty’s ships and vessels at Jamaica, is arrived at that island from England. Anthony Stokes, Esq. lately appointed Chief Justice of this province, with his lady and family, landed at Offahaw on Saturday far from on board a ship, Belton master, from St. Kitts, bound to Philadelphia, and are experted in town from Sunbury this day.
