Last Train To Clarksville and including four No. 1 albums—all within two years.Their first album, The Monkees, was released in September 1966, to coincide with the premiere of the television series, and sold well over 3 million copies in three months, setting a chart record that would be untouched for 17 years. The television series won many Emmy awards and is currently being featured on MTV, the American cable music station, in a 22-hour segment of solid Monkees shows, as well as two episodes a day in March and three a day in April.In the early days, Do-Los Angeles, currently lives in England with his wife and three daughters. His eldest daughter, Ami, lives in the United States and will star shortly in a film with Tony Danza. Dolenz has performed in the theater and in several television series, including Peyton Place . and Mr. Novak. He has had a string of straight roles on screen and stage assignments as producer and director. In 1986 he was reunited with Tork and Jones for a 20th Anniver sary Tour of The Monkees in the United States, where they were greeted enthusiastically by audiences both young and old.
