Mrs. Otha Quackenbush of ‘Paris, Ill, was a guest of Mr. l and Mrs. Chas, Brackney last week. Mrs. Onald Hendrick spent an afternoon visiting with her cousin while she was at Mrs. Brackney’s. Miss Loretta Mae Malicoat of Indianapolis spent a few days with Beverly and Virginia Ann O’Neill before she left for her new home in Oregon, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller of Plainfield were supper guests of her sister, Mrs. William Luken bill and family Tuesday evening. ‘Lulu Lukenbill returned home that evening from a visit with her aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Booker and daughter, Miss Louise, visit ed Mrs. Harley Tribbett of Indi anapolis Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hale of Bainbridge called on his aunt, Mrs. Aden Hanks and Mr. Hanks Friday evening. Several from here attended the Rockville fair and reported ‘a nice time, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Bullerdick ‘and sons visited her sister, Mrs. Glenn Hodshire and Mr. Hod shire one evening last week, John William M Hodshire has been reported missing in the Pa cific and our sympathy is ex tended his parents and other relatives, with the hope he may be heard from soon, Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Libka and ‘daughters attended a birthday dinner at the home of her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Eggers of North Salem Sunday. The dinner was in honor of Cpl. Maynard Eggers and his little sister Mary Margaret whose birthdays were only one day apart, Mrs. Chrystal Hendrick Sisson who is a nurse in Indianapolis underwent an appendectomy Monday at the Long hospital. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hendrick, and brother, Donovan, visited her Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening. Mrs. Sisson is getting along nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Owings and little Diane, of Petersburg, Ind., visited their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McGaughey and children over the weekend. Mrs. Allan Berry and infant son spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Reeves last week. Mrs. Lilly M. Reeves of Indianapolis, Mr. Reeves’ moth er, was guest also of her son. Mr. and Mrs. Harve Bressler attended the Neier reunion at Milligan Park in Crawfordsville last week. Mr. and Mrs. Zane Gentry had as their Sunday guests Mr. and Mrs. D .A. Gentry and daughter, Mrs. Harold Henneke and Wilbur White and children of Indianap olis. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Giltz and son, Benton, have returned from ‘a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Aleck Stromberg and other relatives ‘and friends in Iron River, Mich igan. While there Mr. Giltz and son visited a lumber camp and saw them removing timber from a virgin forest by modern mach inery. Mrs. Flora Lewman = and daughter, Marjorie,and _ son, Stanley, attended a basket din ner at the Christian church in Bainbridge Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Masten and daughters Emma Jean and Alice Jane called on Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Jones of Bainbridge Sun day evening. Annette and Virginia Stump of Lafayette visited Lulu, Betty, Iola and Helen Lukenbill Wed nesday and Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Coffman attended a picnic of Sugar Ridge Needle Club at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Lewallen Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Heaney and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Torr of Greencastle called on Mr. and Mrs. Aden Hanks Thursday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Booker and daughter, Louise, attended the Tribbett reunion at Milligan Park in Crawfordsville Sunday. Little Mary Catherine Luken bill has been visiting Mrs. Eliza beth Canada at Bainvriage for a week, Sunday callers of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Reeves and daugh ter Vera were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spenser and daughter, Marjorie and Mr. and Mrs. El mer McGaughey and Donald, June, and Joan and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sallust and daughter Elaine. Visitors of Mrs. Roy Smith re cently were Mrs. Bruce Lane, Mrs. Roy Zenor, Mrs. James Worley and children, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Chadd and family and Mrs. Dorothy Collings. Mr. and Mrs. Zane Gentry and children visited relatives in Indi anapolis Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. William Libka and children visited his sister, Mrs. Alberta Ellis of Crawfords ville Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Noble Stump and son David of Lafayette and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dondineau of De troit were callers of Mr. and Mrs. William Lukenbill Friday even ing. Max Giltz of Morton spent a few days with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Giltz and Benton this last week. Miss Elaine Sallust attended a weiner roast at Rolling Stone given by the young people of the Christian church Wednesday evening. Miss Ann Allen of Danville has been a guest of her cousin, Miss Jane Allen, this past week, Mrs. Emma Hanks called on Mrs. Bess Bressler Tuesday aft ernoon, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lukenbill and family called on Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wilson Sunday evening. Mrs. Ray Sallust and daughter visited Mrs. Lola Nichols one aft ernoon last week.
