West FrankfortCourt Will Keepthe stolen HairWEST FRANK FORT, August 26.— Another episode in tlie famous hair robbery case came to light late yesterday afternoon, when it was understood that an agreement was reached between representatives of the statesattorney’s office and City Judge Mitchell who was acting as counsel for the defendant, that the case i nits present form be } dismissed and tin? hair over which there is a in the care of Justice A. iVI. Crim, to be held for whatever future action may arise.This case lias attracted more attention than anything brought ,to light in local justice courts. It had its origin 011 August 1, when iVliss and Mrs. J. L. Wilmore, living near mine No. 18, claims to have been seized by an unidentified man and robbed of her beautiful long tresses. Sylvia Wilmore, daughter of Mr.A search through the woods near tlie Wilmore home by a posse that was soon formed failed to reveal any trace of the culprit. The following day Fred Lanipiey of Frankfort, Heights, brought a quantity of hair to a local beauty parlor and offered it for sale. The hair was compared w itiithat left 011 the head of the Wil more girl, and found to be of much resemblance. Lanipiey was arrested and when brought to the beauty parlor lor identification, produced his wife, whom it was claimed had had tlie hair cut from her head the same day as the Wilmore girl. Only an expert would be able to tell the difference between the hair of the two women, according to those who made comparison.Lanipiey was hold under bond for a hearing which was' held last Thurs day and resulted in a hung jury. This would of necessity moan a new trial or disposition similar to that yesterday. It is left in such shape that it can be taken up again at any time before justice courts, by in formation in the county court, or by indictment in the circuit couFt.
