and of him it can besaid that he was an honorable citizen, a sincere friend and a charitable man. For nineteen years Mr. Ott was a resident of Cedar Falls, [ coming here from Iowa Falls and for • fifteen yeaus he was in the restaurant i business but for the past four years was • engaged in the manufacture of ice cream. A year ago his new home on Washington and Fifth streets . was finished.Mr. Ott was born at Scales Mound, III., Oct'. 7, 1858 and in 1881 was married to Miss Elizabeth Racht at Galena, III., and one child was. born to this union, Harry os this city. The wife died in 1892 and 'three year3 following . he married Miss Emma Recht, a sister of his first wife.The services occurred from the home Monday morning at 9 o'clock1 conducted by the Knights, of - Pythias and at 10 o.clopk from the Catholic church in charge of Father Luke Don Ion. Interment was at Greenwood. The pall beorers were, J. H. Mcvis, L. B. Stewart, I D. Corning, D. M. Kelly, Chas. Champlin and H, A. Taylor. Jesse Church sang Face to Face.The out-of-town people, who were here to attend the last rites were: Hffnvy Ott of Chicago, Clarence Ott of Sioux Falls, So. Dak., FrankKratocV.vH of Hampton, Mrs. E. S.- Manatt of i Brooklyn, Iown, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Fricseneker ami daughter of Galena, 111., Frank Deitz, Savannah, 111., and Mesdames Gearhcart and Nick Kuhn, Dversvillc,
