GRAHAM APPOINTED TO POSITION IN NORTHWEST ERN NATIONAL LIFE INSUR ANCE COMPANY. a WORNAY ong William Joseph Graham, of the actu arial department of the Metropolitan Life Insurance company, has been ap pointed memory of the Northwestern National Life Traurance company, Li. K. Thompson, manager of the company, announced Mr. Grahan's appointment , yeaterday on his return from New York. Altho's young man Mr. Graham had had large experience in life insurance matters, having been connected with the business during his entire career. Immediately upon completing his col lngn vourne he cut oved the service of the Sun Life Insurance company, remaining with it over nine years, and having the advantage of a more offten training in every department of the business. Shortly after becoming counucted with the Sun company he rganized its Inctuarial department and became actuary. Since the Bin became a part of the Metropolitan Life Insurance company four yeas ago, he has been identified with the actuarial department of the latter company. Mr. Gralin, is a full member of the Astasiani Society of America, gino of the American Mathematical society, the American Statistical association, and the American Society for the Advance ment of Science.
