Michel was placed in a steel cage.Sunday night, a negro Mieved to Jos. Pierre, another bad and suspecious character, was seen at Cypress Island* and on being detected by another negro he took to the swamps. This fact was reported here the same night and sheiill fiardemal with ;1 posse went to Ills pursuit, hut could find no trace of the man.Louis Blicliel was examined Tuesday morning, in the jail, but nothing relate mg to the murder could bp hod from i him.
