The Manitoba Softball Association will host the Senior B Men’s and Women’s 1990 Western Canadian Fast Pitch Championships Aug. 31 through to Sept. 3. Manitoba will be represent ed by the Winnipeg Penguins and the Minto Mustangs on the men’s side, and the wom en's draw, will include Winnipeg Lightning and Portage Sport Stops. Teams from Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Alberta, North West Territories, and the Yukon will also be com peting in this weekend cham pionship tournament. All games will be held at John Blumberg Softball Complex on Hwy. #1 West at Headingly. The tournament games begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, and continue to start again at 9:00 a.m. Saturday through to Monday, Sept. 3. Opening ceremonies are set for 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
