The new truck is a replacement for the 1953 original town truck, and it sports a Hale Mini pumper on the back. The reason for the purchase was the need for a quick response vehicle. The department wants to cut down the response time to rural fires and this will be a companion vehicle for fire fighting and use at accident scenes. Darrell Houser, Don Tve and Randy went for the truck on Sunday.
