Stubbs, 48, Grainfield, was killed Friday when her car was struck broadside by a Union Pacific freight train at a crossing in this western Kansas community.The victim apparently did not See the flashing lights before her northbound vehicle was hit by the westbound train at 4:21 p.m., according to Gove County Sheriff Lewis Williams.iThe 35-car train, which was traveling about 40 miles an hour, carried the car about a quarter-mile “before coming to a stop.
