Front Row Left to Right— Todd Overton/ Roll and Gill, David Havens, Steve Madler, Eddie Susa. ,Dave Havens stole home and pitched his'way to a 6 to 4 Baker •*- Babe Rnth win in the Ekalaka nightcap. Big stick for Baker was Ross Shepherd, whose timely hits gave Baker the edge in a tight pitcher’s dual between Havens and Ekataka’s Mike Freese. The Babe Ruth finished the season with a, 7 win — 3 loss record -—all three losses to Beach and pitcher Jon Dahl.Coach Jerry Callen asks that all suits be turned in to his home cleaned, pressed, and ©n a hanger as soon as possible He- also expressed bis appreciation to all the parents and all the young men whose total cooperation has again made this summer program, an overwhelming success. - Special thanks go to those ■who have donated their time as umpires —* a tough and time-consuming job with no pay. Martin, Mel Moser, Rock LaCross, Jimmy Hoke.The Bakker Little League and Babe Ruth teams swept a nip and tuck doubleheader from Ekalaka to finish their 1970 seasons with winning records. Trailing 3 to 1 going into the. final inning, Baker got hits from Aaron Olsen, Randy Morris, .and Mitch Anderson to win the Little League contest 4 to 3. Mel Moser was the winning pitcher. The win gave the Little League a 10 win — 5 loss season’s record.who called the bulk of the games this year to picki up his four-year star with countless xtonpald 'hours.
