W. E. Loyd, cashier of the State Savings Bank of Hornick, Woodbury county, dropped dead Monday morn ing while in bathing at Terrace Park Lake Okoboji. Mr. Loyd and his wife and four children were having an outing at the lakes, Monday forenoon they came to Terrace Park for a swim. Mr. Loyd had been diving and had remarked that he was enjoying the time of his life, and shortly after while stand ing in shallow water sank to the bottom. He was immediately brought to shore but he was dead from heart failure. He was about forty-five years of age.
